Compare

How it compares, and how it fits with what you have.

Most tools for AI agents do one part of the job well. This one is built so a regulated team can show what ran.

A made-up picture. Other tools each do one part. The sealed room does the running, the limits, the record and the proof in one place.

The landscape

Four kinds of tools, four different jobs.

Here is what each kind is built for, in plain words.

Agent sandboxes

A fast computer per agent

Built to run code quickly and at huge scale, usually in the vendor's cloud.

AI security tools

A watcher on the side

They find agents, score their risk and filter what they say, while the agents run somewhere else.

Workflow engines

Retries in your code

They resume steps in your own application, so work survives a failure.

Do it yourself

Your own glue

Your own servers, network rules and logs, held together by your team.

Side by side

Side by side.

Read the proof rows first: they show who can hand an auditor proof to check for themselves.

Categories, not products. Products vary and change. These ratings are the authors' reading, not a benchmark. Snapshot and warm-pool products quote start-up in tens of ms on modern servers; ours is a cold start of a whole sealed system on 2013 hardware.

Measured 2026-10-14 on the image built from tag phase-7, median of 3 runs where run three times, 2013 Intel i7-4770 under KVM.

Fits in

Use them together.

You do not have to pick one. The sealed room is where your other tools can do their jobs.

Keep your agent framework

It is not an agent framework. It runs, limits and records agents. It does not decide what they should do.

Keep your models

Use open-weight models that you run yourself, or hosted models through places you approve. Every model call passes the same door.

Keep your security tools

A tool that watches what agents say still works. The room adds the hard limit on what leaves, and the proof.

Honest fit

When it is the right choice, and when it is not.

If you need proof for an auditor, it fits. If you need millions of short jobs as fast as possible, a sandbox fits better.

A good fit

  • Someone will ask for proof: an auditor, a regulator or a customer's risk team.
  • Agents take real actions: they move money, change records or send messages.
  • It must run on your own machines, in your cloud account or on a closed network.

Not the right tool

  • Huge numbers of short jobs where start-up speed is all that counts.
  • You need a certified product today. It is pre-1.0, with no certifications yet.
  • You need data hidden from the host operator. That is not built yet.
